Affiliate Disclosure — How Promo Crib Makes Money

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), Promo Crib is required to disclose — and happily does — that this website contains affiliate links.

What This Means for You

When you click on a coupon link or deal link on Promo Crib and subsequently make a qualifying purchase from the retailer or brand, we may earn a commission or referral fee. This happens at absolutely no additional cost to you — the price you pay is identical whether you arrive via our link or go directly to the retailer’s website.

Affiliate commissions are one of the primary ways Promo Crib funds its operations. This revenue pays for the time our editorial team spends sourcing, testing, and verifying coupon codes — which is the whole point of this site.

What This Does NOT Affect

We want to be crystal clear about what our affiliate relationships do and don’t influence:

  • Which codes we feature: We feature the best available codes for a brand, regardless of whether we have an affiliate relationship with them. If a great code exists and we can verify it, it goes on the site.
  • Our verification process: Every code is tested independently by our editorial team. A brand cannot pay us to mark a broken code as verified.
  • Our editorial opinions: If a brand consistently has poor coupon terms (high minimums, narrow product exclusions, frequent expiry), we say so. Affiliate status doesn’t change our editorial voice.
  • Our removal policy: If a code stops working, we remove it within 48 hours — regardless of how lucrative the affiliate relationship is.

Affiliate Networks We Work With

Promo Crib may participate in affiliate programs through the following networks and platforms:

  • CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction)
  • ShareASale
  • Impact Radius
  • FlexOffers
  • Rakuten Advertising
  • Direct brand affiliate programs

Not all brands we feature have affiliate arrangements with us. We cover brands and codes based on relevance and deal quality, not affiliate availability.

Site-Wide Disclosure

Because virtually every outbound coupon link on Promo Crib may be an affiliate link, we apply this disclosure site-wide rather than labeling individual posts. You should assume that any link to a retailer or brand from our site may be an affiliate link unless otherwise stated.

This is consistent with FTC guidance that disclosures should be clear, conspicuous, and placed where consumers are likely to see them before clicking.
